Terms

What you are buying and what happens if it goes wrong

Plain terms for a small business that sells a course, a membership and a limited number of hours.

01

What this page is

A template. These terms are a reasonable starting point for a business that sells a cohort course, a membership and advisory time — they are not legal advice and no lawyer has read them. Replace every bracketed placeholder and have somebody qualified check the result before you trade under them.

Delete anything you do not actually sell. Terms describing a refund policy you do not offer are worse than no terms at all.

02

Who you are dealing with

This site is operated by [your legal entity], registered at [your registered address]. Where these terms say "we", that is who is meant.

03

Buying a place, a membership, or time

A purchase is complete when payment is confirmed and you receive an email saying so. Prices are shown in [currency] and include or exclude tax as stated at checkout.

A place on a cohort is for one named person. It can be transferred to a colleague before the cohort starts by writing and asking; it cannot be split between two people.

04

Refunds

The course carries a full refund up to the end of the second week, requested by email, with no form and no conversation required. After that point there is no refund, because by then the whole method has been delivered.

A membership can be cancelled at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next payment and leaves access in place until the end of the period already paid for. Part-months are not refunded.

Advisory work is invoiced by the quarter. An unused session does not roll over more than one quarter.

05

What is promised, and what is not

What is promised is the sessions, the materials and the access described on the page you bought from. If a live session cannot run, it is rescheduled or the recording is provided.

What is not promised is an outcome. This is teaching, not a guarantee that a particular conversation will go the way you want it to.

06

Behaviour in shared rooms

The community, the cohort channels and the live sessions are shared spaces. Harassment, publishing what somebody else said in confidence, or using the member directory to sell things will end your access without a refund.

Cases discussed in any room are confidential. Do not repeat them outside it in a form that could identify anybody.

07

The materials

Workbooks, recordings and written material stay the property of [your legal entity]. You may use them inside your own organisation as much as you like. You may not resell them, publish them, or teach them as your own course.

08

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, liability is limited to the amount you paid for the thing the claim is about.

09

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of [your jurisdiction], and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
